CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- The US Army Corps of Engineers began dredging the Carolina Beach Inlet today at the north end of Freeman Park.
Work will last four to five weeks and include part of Snow's Cut. Crews will place some dredged sand on Freeman Park Beach, which will remain open during the work.
People visiting the beach are advised to stay away from piping and construction areas.
